San Francisco's Desolation play fierce street level hardcore, enforced with hoarse vocals, combined with an old New York, politico-thrash meets Japanese style crust-hardcore-punk punch. Included is an appropriate cover version of Nausea's "Inherit the Wasteland". Desolation's music befits their name. The tracks are doom laden and desperate, both lyrically and musically. They are grieving the loss of the youthful ideals of the potential of this planet. Nice to hear a snare drum that isn't over produced!
