"Coral Fang" is the kind of CD you can pop into your player and always be guaranteed a good time. Brody Dalle is the best punk rock front woman since Joan Jett. Seriously. She has a snarl that shreds all the typical sounding vocalists out there. The band is tight and knows what the heck they are doing when they put a song together. These songs kill. They make Hole sound like, well, like they should hang it up, cuz they couldn't meet the rock challenge. Check these lyrics from the chorus from "Drain the Blood". "All my friends are murder, Hey, all my bones no marrows in, All these fiends want teenage meat, All my friends are murderers". This has the sound of vintage US punk rock. Fierce rocking energy with memorable hooks and energy to kick your day into high gear! Check out their web site and watch the videos for "Beat Your Heart Out", "Drain the Blood" and "The Hunger" and be as amazed as I am that all MTV can seem to play is really bad rap videos with dozens of semi nude women just walking around or waving their hands in the air (isn't that concept played out YET) and grown men singing about things like playing with rubber bands while wearing sports jerseys and bling. Sorry, got off my point, which is, get "Coral Fang".
