Firstly, this includes “Avon Lady” and “Stop You’re Killing Me” from the Jesus 7” that I have been looking for since 1980 when it originally came out on Anxiety and later Placebo (not sure if these are re-recordings). So ya know, it is mandatory for those legendary songs. There is also an instrumental/ elevator sort of version of “Jesus” which is friggin classic. So what about the newer material, after all this is their first new lp since 1986 and their third overall. It’s like they didn’t miss a beat. The snarling in your face anti-establishment, action advocating, edginess comes through loud and clear. This is a continuation of that hardcore that made the “Let Them Eat Jellybeans” comp such a classic. Refreshing and revitalizing!
