The Forgotten

“Out Of Print”

CD BYO 2003

The Forgotten are San Francisco Bay area punks who take the UK, “Punk and Disorderly” approach to heart. The melodic yet abrasive “street” punk is full of anthems and energy. This CD compiles “out of print” 7” and comp tracks as well as some tracks from upcoming releases. The Forgotten definitely haven’t forgotten how great 80s punk and hardcore was.

Forgotten, The

“Control Me”

CD, BYO Records

Even without a picture, you can tell these guys are older. Their influences draw from an era pre mainstream pop punk and they have toured with and played gigs with GBH, Peter and the Test Tube Babies and the Circle Jerks. Their sound is a bit tougher (along with that California punk and rock sound) and they have some thought behind their lyrics that temper their obvious anger. They also have a friend in Lars (Rancid) and they obviously share many of the same influences and likes, and that is a good thing.
