This is the Gas Huffer's sixth album. When I saw the disc, my first impression was, geez haven't these guys killed all their brain cells yet? My second thought was weren't they on Epitaph or something last year and what happened? My third thought came after popping the cd in the player, which went something like this, if the rest of the songs are even half as good as the first, this is gonna be the best Gas Huffer cd ever. And they were and this is. Somewhere between early Gun Club and Mudhoney are Gas Huffer, yes there are a ton of influences, from country to blues to rock to punk and a bunch of others creep in, but the thing is, anyone can be influenced, but you still gotta be able to write a good song (or at least be capable of stealing a bunch of different parts of other people songs and make them yours). All the songs hit with rock n roll style.
