One thing I remember from my early days of recording in bands from the early 80s was receiving a demo of a rough mix which we were instructed to listen to EVERYWHERE. In car stereos, home stereos, boom boxes, handheld portable players to see how the mix worked in all of those devices. I am a fan of GUK. I've enjoyed just about everything they've done immensely. Well, I've listened to this disc about a dozen times in my car, trying to force myself to like it. For some reason, I always felt like something was missing but couldn't put my finger on what that missing thing was.. I finally figured it out when I put the cd in my computer. This cd is far too "rich" for my crappy factory cd player and busted up speakers in my car. Pop this cd in the computer, with my upgraded sound system and now we are talking full aural experience. This should appeal to more than the emo kids.
