I hope that what has happened to my brain whenever I hear Lenny Kravitz doesn’t happen to my experience with Moby now that he has licensed his music to the 30 second blurbs between my favorite TV shows. I regret that it has happened with Lenny because he is undoubtedly a great musician and has come up with undeniable hits. Every time I think of Lenny, I think of a commercial, not a talent. I think of a 4-wheel drive truck splashing through mud trails, not a great groove. Commercials make performers major dollars, but ruins songs. This would be a great CD, if only it didn’t have commercials. “Mr. Cab Driver” is my new favorite Lenny Kravitz tune. I hope they don’t find a way to sell a car via this song.
