Living End

“Roll On”

CD, Reprise Records

Million sellers worldwide, these Australian, Clash fans are looking for success in the US, with WB backing (not a bad combination). Living End remind me of Green Day meets the Peacocks. More specifically, Living End combines a melodic punk, power pop and mod sound, complete with the use of a stand up bass. There are a few hits mixed in here (“Roll On”, “Pictures In the Mirror”) and the energy is strong. They are not afraid to play off of their punk influences, and even a little metal, especially on “Carry Me Home”. The two videos on the CD are a nice addition. I wish more bands did that.
