Every now and then, I come across a band I know nothing about that locks me in to their sound and I wonder how the hell I haven’t heard any other raves about this band. The Lot Six are an original sounding band. This four-song disc is a perfect showcase for their unique brand of emotional and gutsy sounding rock. I hear all sorts of influences, from DC emo/angst to Touch and Go edginess to mod to a more straight up punk fire. The songs are creatively arranged, with no apparent limitations, yet all remain very listener friendly. Each song has intensity, even in the down sections.
