Cincinnatti's The Messengers is a female-fronted band that rips things up! The mohawked Shannon commands the vocals as well as anyone and Shannon is one of the strongest female vocalists to come along in awhile (thankfully no shrieking).The driven, anthemic punk of the Messengers should make them at least as huge as the Distillers! If not, it would be a crime. The messengers are one part street punk, one part Avengers and a whole lot of heart. A great CD.
