I have been a fan of the Partisans for about 20 years or so. Along with the Business, I always felt the Partisans had the right combination of punk energy, a crisp clear sound, along with the ability to put together memorable songs that had melody. All of this while keeping true to the punk fire. "Idiot Nation" will no doubt draw the Clash comparisons from anyone who knows anything about punk history. You can't go wrong with that. "Idiot Nation" is so complete in it's development that it maintains a fresh sound, while sticking completely to those late 70s early 80s roots. One of the best punk records to come out in years. Long live the Partisans!
